Dr. Gupta
 Dr. Henah Gupta received both her master's and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and her undergraduate education at the University of Florida. She completed the Health Psychology Track during her graduate training. Her areas of specialization include the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders, and personality disorders.
She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, residential treatment, outpatient clinics, and day treatment programs. Dr. Gupta brings many years of experience working with culturally diverse populations and subscribes to a multidisciplinary treatment approach to patient well-being. Her work in research has resulted in an increased understanding in the treatment of trauma in children and adolescents. Dr. Gupta has held various clinical and supervisory positions at The Renfrew Center, lending to years of experience working with eating disordered patients and their families.
Dr. Henah Gupta is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Her clinical experience covers working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of treatment settings and at varying levels of care. She has received years of training and experience at the Renfrew Center, Citrus Healthcare, Child and Adolescent Trauma Clinics, The Children's Psychiatric Center, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami Children's Hospital and North Broward Medical Center.
Dr. Gupta serves as a member of the South Florida DBT Network. She has received intensive training through Marsha Linehan's training program at Behavioral Tech. on DBT. This informs the use of DBT principles in treatment along with teaching patients how to integrate these skills into their everyday lives. Dr. Gupta participates regularly in DBT Consultation team meetings.
Dr. Henah Gupta is the Vice- President for the South Florida Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
She holds professional membership to the American Psychological Association, The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and the National Eating Disorder Association. |
